Larry, founder of Enterprise Power, is a management consultant with over 30 years worldwide management experience in North America, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. Industry experience spans the full product stream from raw materials mining, fishing and harvesting, through manufacturing and construction, wholesale and retail trade to end user service; and transportation and public utilities, services and public administration. Working with customer, company and supplier staff of all functions and organization levels Larry has conceived, facilitated and managed the development and implementation of strategic and business plans, bringing new products and services from concept through market acceptance, marketing strategies and tools, customer focused processes, sweeping and continuous cost, quality, delivery and profit improvement; cycle time reduction, organization evaluations and development, management development courses and personal profile assessments and development.
Prior to starting his own consulting practice Larry held executive and management positions in the U.S. and Europe with Cummins Engine Company. He worked with two consulting firm owners nearing retirement as a Vice President for their firms. One was a Market Research and Marketing Consulting firm. The other was a Career, Job Search and Marketing consulting firm. As Vice President Marketing and Sales for Hercules Engine Company, a leveraged bankruptcy buyout, Larry served as Chairman of a cross industry consortium working to launch natural gas powered trucks to support the Clean Air Act.
At Cummins Engine Company Larry held Worldwide Executive Director positions for Product Management and Operations Planning and Information. Worldwide Director positions held were for Program Management and Industrial Product and Market Planning and Technical Sales. Manufacturing Director positions were to design the Seymour Industrial Center production and material management processes and manage the center’s startup. Regional Management positions were Atlanta Division Regional Manager doing five-year sales, parts distribution and service planning and management. As Regional Service Manager for Europe, North & West Africa and Israel he worked with his European staff to determine market needs, design and install parts and service support programs, setup and manage a Bonded Warehouse, develop the staff and strengthen relations with OEM and end user customers, distributors and U.S. and European operations. Manager positions were U.S. Field Service, OEM Service and Technical Service.
Larry led and managed functional and cross-functional teams across industries and cultures worldwide. He conceived, facilitated and managed development and implementation of strategic and business plans for new products and services and sweeping and continuous cost, quality, delivery and profit improvements. He designed, organized, installed and managed cross-functional management systems and teams. He directed and facilitated the creation, development and operation of information management, product, program, project and work group companywide management systems and supply chains. He worked with individuals and groups at all levels to break bottlenecks and advance personal and organizational capabilities and performance to achieve results. He developed and conducted training and development programs. He published technical papers and operations improvement articles in trade journals. He is an international speaker, including bilingual presentations at trade, professional and technical associations’ conferences. And reviewed new products with investment analysts and trade journalists.
Larry is a BSME graduate of The University of Louisville Speed Scientific School. Berlitz tutors taught him French and he was tutored in international business while living in Brussels, Belgium. Applied research and development advanced his operating and management systems knowledge and skills. Honors include Who’s Who in Industry and Finance and Tau Beta Pi Honorary Engineering Society. He is a member of the Ohio and National Speakers Association, Toastmasters International and Chamber of Commerce. He is President of the Logistics Network for the Northeast Ohio Trade and Economic Consortium (NEOTEC) and as an affiliate of Resource Associates Corporation/Total Quality Institute is a certified facilitator.
